@claremagdoc was heading home from work on Sunday and passed a Subaru driving erratically up the Hwy in Eagle Mill, MA on HWY 111. Stopped to ask what was wrong and the male driver took off. Finally stopped a short distance later on Park Ave, MA. The female passenger got out of the car. Employee asked to use their phone and called 911. She explained that Roadrunner (driver) was about 150-160 miles from his home. When officers got to the car the male passenger was gone. The driver remained inside the vehicle. Police were unable to contact him and concerned family members began looking for the vehicle. Eventually Portland PD notified Maine State Police about the vehicle. Officers searched along the coast and found Roadrunner. He was staying with several people in Freeport, ME. At the shelter he was able to tell the story. According to Roadrunner, his previous girlfriend purchased the vehicle, had an argument with the owner, and left him to face a high-speed chase of the car. Roadrunner was able to talk to the officers and was able to return the car to the owner. A full investigation into the incident is currently under way.
